According to the second paragraph of Article 36 of the Presidential Decree No. 4, universities, local administrations and all relevant institutions and organizations that make earthquake observations simultaneously transmit earthquake observation data to the Presidency. Basic data such as; magnitude, location and intensity are officially announced to the public only by the Presidency.
